Imagine going to a grocery shop and saying: “Give me your invoice and I’ll pay within the next 1-3 months” while presenting your filled shopping trolley. Obviously, you’d be laughed at and nobody would sell you their products but somehow this is the common way that some Dublin-based ad agencies treat freelance creatives.
At AGRAND I treat people with due respect; if I am hiring, it means I am ready to pay. Immediately, with no delays, with no lying that a cheque has been sent a week ago while it still rests on my desk.
Can you do the same? Can you be responsible and hire freelancers only if you have enough money to pay them before you get paid by your client they will be working for?
We all have bills to pay, we all need the financial security, so, if you run a business and outsource others to help you with your work, please consider being fair.
