This DM won me a Bronze award and more work I could cope with
Here’s the DM which won me a Bronze award at this year’s An Post Smart Marketing Awards, a whooping 88.8% response rate (Dublin city centre area) and more work I could cope with.
As every business owner, I occasionally need to promote my services. Last year, instead of presenting my portfolio samples or offering a particular service, I decided to send a set of greeting cards with a cheerful illustration accompanied by a line “Have a nice day”.
The illustration features landmarks of the target audience’s area – Rathfarnham Castle and Rathfarnham Arch for Rathfarnham and Dundrum area; Luas and Dublin Castle for the city centre area.
The back of the card included a subtle invitation to working together: “Let me help you to make your day nice!” and contact details. Nothing more needed to be said as my wordmark was accompanied by my job title: Graphic Designer & Illustrator.
